Giza, Saqqara and Memphis in one day

A private guide and driver take you from the Giza pyramids to Djoser's Step Pyramid at Saqqara and the fallen colossus of Ramesses II at Memphis, with lunch and a camel ride on the way. It is one of the few Giza listings where the from-price really includes the entry tickets.

Full-Day Giza, Saqqara and Memphis VIP Tour

About this experience

This is the classic Cairo day trip in its all-in form. Three hours on the Giza plateau with the Panorama and the Sphinx, lunch at a restaurant facing the pyramids, then south about 25 km to Saqqara, where Djoser's Step Pyramid is the oldest of them all, and on to the open-air museum at Memphis (Mit Rahina) with its giant fallen Ramesses II. Count on about ten hours door to door. Our Saqqara and Memphis guide explains what you see at each stop.

The $155 price is the only option, and it covers a lot: the Giza plateau ticket (700 EGP), Saqqara (600 EGP) and Memphis (about 200 EGP), about 1,500 EGP (about $27) of entries in total, plus lunch, a 30-minute camel ride, the guide, the car and water. What it doesn't cover is the Great Pyramid interior, 1,500 EGP (about $27): a February 2026 guest wrote that the guide showed them where to buy it and waited. Tips are extra too.

One line in the listing is out of date. It promises "entrance to the third Pyramid of Giza", which is Menkaure, and the antiquities authority closed Menkaure for maintenance on 11 September 2026. Ask Let's Explore Egypt on WhatsApp which interior you get instead; Khafre reopened the same day. And be ready to say no to shops: several reviewers counted perfume, papyrus, cotton, spice and carpet stops, one of them six in a day.

We quickly entered the Giza Necropolis without be hounded by scammers. I feel having a private guide for this part of the excursion made the entire cost worthwhile

Book this tour with Sam. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, pleasant, and patient. He eliminated any concerns from people bothering you and let you take your time at each location.

Thomas · Sep 2025

[...] she covered all the attractions by providing sufficient time at each location and enough details. [...] Lunch option was also great and guide also didn't push for any unnecessary shopping spots.

Tips before you book

  • Tell the guide at pickup that you want no shop stops. On a private tour that request should stick; reviewers who said it early lost less time.
  • All the listed entries are included. A 2025 reviewer's guide claimed otherwise and Viator confirmed the tickets were paid, so push back if you hear it.
  • The camel ride is prepaid. Handlers still ask for tips, sometimes in dollars; a 2025 guest ended up giving $20. Decide your tip before you get on.
  • Wear proper shoes and carry water. Saqqara's tombs involve tight, low passages, as one guest warned.
  • Ask which pyramid you'll enter now that Menkaure is closed, and whether Khafre is covered.
