Camels, quads and a Nile cruise, option by option

A private driver for the day, with options that add an Egyptologist, the plateau ticket, a camel or quad ride in the desert and a dinner cruise on the Nile. Pick it if you want a packed, action day more than a history lesson.

Giza with Camel, Quad Bike and Dinner Cruise Options

About this experience

The $7 headline is the lowest price on this site, and it buys the least: the "driver only" option, a private car with driver and water. No guide, no ticket, no ride. Three "best seller" options build the actual day: an Egyptologist, the 700 EGP (about $13) plateau ticket, a camel or quad ride, and in two of them a Nile dinner cruise from central Cairo. The Great Pyramid interior, 1,500 EGP (about $27), is never included.

The route mixes the plateau (about two hours plus the Panorama and the Sphinx) with two hours in Nazlet el-Semman, the village below the Sphinx where the quad and camel stables are, and an evening at Qasr el-Nil Bridge for the cruise. Guests who loved it talk about the quad ride, the camel and the belly dancer on the boat.

The critical reviews are mostly older (2023 and 2024), and they are blunt: heavy shopping (cotton, papyrus, fragrances, tea, rugs, jewellery), a quad route past rubbish and dead animals at the desert edge, a $30 charge for the evening transfer, and repeated WhatsApp requests for a 5-star review. Recent reviews are fewer and mostly happy. Book only the option you want, and confirm in writing what it includes.

  • The cheapest starting price at Giza: $7 for a private driver
  • Quad bike or camel ride in the desert beside the plateau
  • Nile dinner cruise with a show in two options
  • Private car all day
  • Egyptologist guide in the higher options

The tour was fun, we learned alot, the atv ride was very nostalgic. Loved the camel ride. The food was amazing, we found a few awesome gems during our shopping experience. We also enjoyed the dinner cruise!

The pyramids, camel and ATV were a 10/10 [...] The food of the cruise was regular…same with the belly dance show.

We didn’t feel pressured to buy anything so I wouldn’t worry about that.

Tips before you book

  • Pick an option with a guide and the plateau ticket. The $7 driver can't take you round the pyramids.
  • Ask in advance which shops are on the day and how long each takes. A reviewer recommends it so you can budget.
  • Confirm that the evening cruise transfer is included in your option.
  • Wear closed shoes and a scarf or buff for the quad ride. The desert is dusty.

Frequently asked questions

What does the $7 Giza tour include?

Only the "driver only" option: a private car with driver, hotel pickup and water. A guide, the plateau ticket (700 EGP), the camel or quad ride and the dinner cruise come with the "best seller" options.

Is the quad bike ride on the plateau itself?

No. Quads run from the stables in Nazlet el-Semman across the desert edge beside the plateau. Some reviewers describe passing rubbish along the way.

Can children join?

The listing prices everyone 6 and over as adults; younger children get a child rate only when sharing with two paying adults. Anyone with medical problems should skip the quad.

Are there shopping stops?

Yes, in most reviews: cotton, papyrus, perfume oils, spices, rugs or jewellery. Ask for the list in advance and decline what you don't want.
